Our story

Sunkis began on the Mediterranean coast, where our founder Aleksandra grew up living between the sea and the sun.

Mornings there move slowly. Long lunches, salt on your skin, gold catching the light as you walk from the water to the table without ever changing who you are. Jewellery was never something you saved for special occasions. It was part of everyday life, worn through swims and dinners and quiet afternoons, the kind of pieces a woman puts on once and forgets she is even wearing.

Aleksandra carried that with her. Fashion was in everything around her growing up, in the way women dressed with intention but never fuss, choosing pieces that lasted and meant something rather than chasing whatever was new. When she settled in Australia, she noticed how naturally the two places spoke to each other. The same love of the ocean. The same easy, sun-led way of living. What was missing was jewellery built for it.

So she created Sunkis. Every piece is waterproof, tarnish-free and hypoallergenic, made to stay on through the shower, the swim and the everyday. Pieces you do not have to think about or take care of, designed to look as good on day one as they do years from now.

This is the European sensibility Aleksandra was raised on, brought to Australia so that any woman can live in it too. Refined, effortless, and made to last, the way good things should be.
